Are you geek or trendy?
Android is for those who want to fiddle the phone day-by-day. iPhone is simple and ready to use, plus very stylish.
Nov 9, 2010 / TomHolI like iPhone
'cos there are plenty applications in the Apple Store, and many are free of charge.
Nov 9, 2010 / DileMaxiOS looks better
User interface in iOS looks better, the icons are much better drawn– the interface in general looks better in my opinion. Also the system’s responses are quicker. Experience can differ between various Android devices - you have to try and decide.

This platform is more "open" and flexible.
Mar 17, 2011 / ThomasiOS vs Android - no easy choice
I tested and use both of them - here is my short summary
May 2, 2012 / DileMaxHW:
- Look&feel - appearance - iPhone 4 in white color looks really nice, materials and design are excellent. New Samsungs and HTCs with Android have also great design, but from my point of view, iPhone is better.
- Display - retina display is excellent - although I have got Android with 800x480 pixels, the iPhone has a 960x480 with better colors
- Speed - the iPhone has a fast processor, Android phones are also pretty fast, so it equals...
- Quality of camera and video - iPhone has great camera, you have to have hi-end Android phone to reach similar quality
SW:
- Those systems made great steps in the last years, and they manage to do similar things
- IOS has no widgets on the desktop - so for example you cant see next meeting in calendar - on the other hand, interface on iOS is not so complicated.
- If you're a Google user, integration with Android is native and naturally better. iOS you have to connect via exchange of Google. It works generaly similar, but Android is better in it.
- User interface - appearance of the controls on iOS is better
- Calendar - for me, more suitable is calendar on Android, but I guess it's habit
- Working with contacts - dial numbers - no T9 dialing as default - fail. You can download better dialer on both systems.
- ITunes - I used to think, it's evil, but now I really like it - loading content, applications, music etc to your mobile is simple. There is nothing like this on Android.
Both system are very good. Android as a system suits me - I am used to it. As a Google user, maybe it is better use Android because of better integration.
On the other hand, Android is a bigger mess in terms of applications and security - you have to be more experienced user.
Conclusion: For me - the iPhone vs. 49%. Android 51% :-)
