I want to play my digital music on my Cambridge Audio amplifier in maximum quality. I have dilemma between NP30 Cambridge audio network player and DacMagic - digital analogue converter from Cambridge connected with my Computer using toslink. Or does it even make sense to connect NP30 and DacMagic together?

NP30 is great choice
I like NP30, it sounds great and look nice in combination with other Sonata components. The advantage is that you don't have to start computer when you want to listen digital music.. It's silent - no computer noise..

NP30 streaming over USB
Unfortunatelly, Cambridge Audio NP30 has no support for USB streaming - I mean - connecting PC to NP30 over USB and using NP30 as external sound card. Cambridge has answer for it - it is Stream Magic 6 - in fact - combination of NP30 and DAC Magic. But - the price is bigger and its full size component - not 3/4 like NP30. Yes, using of BT100 is possible - but I am afraid, bluetooth is not as good as USB wire connection.
