Lenovo U260 - ultrabook like notebookPROS:CONS: |
Lenovo U260 is an amazing netbook with very good price to power ratio. One of the best thing is that it looks very nice and it's thin and has only 1.5 kg (3 pounds).
It's perfect for travelling. Also the power adapter is very lightweight and compact - nice feature.. Lenovo U260 has 12.6" led display - resolution 1360x768. For this compact size is this resolution OK. Lenovo U260 has Intel i3 or i5 cpu inside. With 4GB of memory everything works pretty fast. Unfortunatelly, CPU/System fan is little bit noisy. It's not problem for example in office, but in the silent room it is a little bit annoying.
My experience is that on battery this Lenovo can work for 2 hours. It depends on LCD brightness. It is not much but it is not problem for me - I prefer low weight...
Lenovo U260 is equiped with OneKey Recovery feature - in case of system failure, you can do factory reset really easily.
If are you looking compact, nice looking computer for everyday working, so I would absolutelly recommend this Lenovo U260..

Actually, the 900HA is cheaper $ 350 prttey much everywhere, less on eBay with Microsoft Live cashback. The downsides the 900HA has a 4 cell battery. Some other models, like the 901, have a 6 cell. The Intel Atom is a very efficient processor, so this should still be good for 4 hours or so (Asus specifies 5.3 hours). It has no Bluetooth and the wireless is 802.11g. This is the same as most netbooks, but again some have these features. The keyboard is smaller than normal, obviously. It is thicker than some flash based netbooks. The pluses inexpensive, has webcam and mic, big hard drive, good build quality, easy to upgrade. The touchpad buttons are also in the right place, below the pad (some have only one button and some have buttons on the side). The touchpad also supports two finger scrolling similar to that of a Macbook. If it's the right screen and keyboard size for you, it is an excellent choice.
