I decided to build a sauna in my house. I usually use traditional saunas, and these suit me quite well. But I’m aware that the infrared sauna is an alternative. I do not know, what it’s advantages are over the traditional sauna.

I prefer Traditional saunas
I've tried the infra once... and... never again :-) The Finnish and the Russians know the right way to sweat. I like the traditional saunas far better.

I prefer a traditional sauna. I tried an infrared once. The cabin is usually quite small, (which of course is often cited as an advantage when space is limited). Infrared heat sources are located so that you should feel the heat equally distributed over the surface of your body. But in reality this doesn’t really work and you can still feel temperature differences on different parts of your body. If you have no medical restrictions, I see no benefit in using an infrared sauna as opposed to classical.

I think, that the traditional is better for our health. I think that is the one of way how you can connect your body with your mind. You know, that this way has roots many years ago and no modern means substitute years proven method.
